Our systems use a tracked robot arm to pre-weigh and post-weigh filter papers used in suspended solids analysis. Up to 200 papers can be loaded onto the system at any one time in racks of 40.
The racks are made of stainless steel and can be used in standard drying ovens to limit handling of the papers.
Each paper is stamped with a sequential number before weighing, to help keep track of papers and ensure the correct results are sent back to LIMS once complete.
A four or five-place balance can be used on the system depending on requirements. Over 100 papers an hour can be processed, guaranteeing high throughput and freeing up the analyst for less laborious tasks.
